About Us

Big Table Publishing Company was established in 2004 as an indie chapbook press, presenting new and established poets. In 2006, we posted the first issue of Boston Literary Magazine, an on-line quarterly publication that became available as a print journal in 2009. In 2014, we started the Newton Writing Center, where we host workshops and classes, book launches, open mics, and special events like the annual Allen Ginsberg Literary Community Contribution Award Ceremony, the Beat Poetry Festival, and the Dead Poet’s Hike.
At Big Table it’s not just about telling a story, it’s about having something to say. Our catalog of authors includes literary award winners, poet laureates, professors, journalists, philosophers, life coaches, musicians, playwrights, victims of sexual abuse, cancer survivors, scientists, and top-notch novelists. It could include you, too.
