We're looking for hard-working poets who have accumulated at least 30 poems that have been gone over a hundred times until they're perfect... poets who enjoy reading their material to audiences, and will set up signings in order to sell copies of their book... poets who aren't afraid to send e-mails to 60 friends and blatantly brag that their work is now available through Big Table Publishing Company.

One of our favorite things is when we can tell that a poet has spent time reviewing our Submission Guidelines before sending in material. Trust us, this is the best way to get your work accepted!

Why must we charge a reading fee? We wouldn't if we didn't have to! But we are an independent publisher not associated with a university press, and each chapbook that we publish costs us money. So unfortunately, in order to keep doing this, we require a $15 reading fee with each submission of your best poems.
